Parade of Veterans 2009 (11 years old)
Young or old it is always so hard to say good-bye, we had to say good-bye to our Victoria aka "Pictoria" on October 2nd, 2009.

Victoria lived 11 1/2 great years with boundless energy, eager to please and loving me 24/7.She was not wild about being a show dog but sure love doing obedience with me and always performed 100% with scores over 190.

Victoria was the great grandmother of the house and let others know early that she was the "boss". I smile when I think about her putting on a big show when she was not fond of someone or her spinning for food like it was her last meal. We will truly miss her this summer as she came out on our back deck to hang while we ate or had a fire. All Victoria every wanted was to be with her family and this made her most happy to be with us and just her.Victoria adored my daughter and when Katelynn was young and Victoria arrived she could only say "Pictoria"
so this became her nickname.

She was diagnosed with mouth cancer in 2006 and we had that removed and she was as good as new. Her battled ended when she developed lung cancer. It went quick and she fought as long as she could for the old tough girl she was. The morning of October 2nd, I knew by looking at her eyes it was time. The drive was most difficult as she had her paw on my arm the whole way in. She went so very peacefully and I stayed with her for a long time after with many tears and laughing about her funny ways. Remembering times like her last road trip in the trailer to Cranbrook in August 2009 where she got tons of attention and her breeders Cec and Butch got to spend some quality time with her...

Even though she lived a good long life it was no easier to let her go and I was so glad to have had her in my life...... "We miss you "Pictoria"
